The Art Institute of Chicago is an amazing place
The Art Institute of Chicago is a museum-turned-academic institution that has been an integral part of the creative scene since 1879 when it was founded by a group of artists. The museum, which is not for profit, houses more than 300,000 pieces of art in 12 collections, ranging from Asian art, architecture, and textiles. The Ryerson and Burnham Libraries are also part of the Art Institute of Chicago. Together, they make up one of the largest art museum libraries in the world.
